Customer Questions Answered
Find clear answers to common inquiries about our auto glass repair and replacement services, installation standards, and safety protocols.
How long does windshield replacement take?
Most windshield replacements are completed within two hours, depending on the vehicle model and safety features. We ensure proper curing time for adhesives to maintain safety standards.
Is my vehicle safe to drive immediately after repair?
We have a 30 minute minimum drive away time after installation before driving to allow adhesives to set. This ensures the windshield performs correctly in case of impact or airbag deployment.
Do you use OEM glass or aftermarket alternatives?
Panhandle Auto Glass uses aftermarket glass made to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications to preserve vehicle integrity and safety. We also use OEM glass when aftermarket parts are not availble. We discuss options with customers based on their preferences and insurance coverage.
What safety checks are performed after installation?
After installation, we verify proper adhesive bonding, inspect for leaks, confirm windshield alignment, and recalibrate ADAS systems to ensure structural safety and optimal performance.
Can you repair chips or cracks without full replacement?
Minor chips and cracks can often be repaired to restore windshield strength and visibility. We assess damage severity to recommend repair or replacement for maximum safety.
